What we can tell about the Empire of Sol from ancient manuscripts is that it was a country of vast wealth and prosperity. Founded by the Prophet of Light, Mirabella Sol.  Her followers pressed outwards seizing neighboring towns and cities with such fervor that in a few short years they had conquered the entire area around their small peninsula.
 

It is fabled that Mirabella was chosen to unite Sol by the Holy Dragon, Auritrix the Lightbringer, who upon his arrival first drank from the Aqua Regia, purifying it and then “consumed” a woman of flesh.  She bore the god 5 children and it is from those 5 children that we get the 5 houses of Sol; Drakanos, Azure, Rayeria, Hoguera, and Solaris.
