Vertigo Press { A History told through Prints and Relics}
About Matthew Cassar
- My Work can best be described as a narrative journey showcasing a history created through prints, artifacts and relics. When it comes to creating these pieces I try to think about them in sense of how an archaeologist would; almost as if they had just stumbled upon the discovery of a lost civilization.
- I have shown my work overseas at the Liu Haisu Museum, Shanghai China during the “American Youth Printing Ex.” in 2011. Currently at the NAC Coop Gallery in Norwich, I work as their President and have been striving towards making it a better place for the arts. I’m still relatively new to the art world and because of it I have had the pleasure of being a part of R.A.W. With a site in Hartford they help to promote young artist in their endeavors.
- I received my BFA from The University of Hartford, Hartford Art School in Printmaking. Currently I reside in the rural area of Norwich where I enjoy being able to still see the sky.
